Almost Crashed

To night was almost a fatal night for me and my kid!

This is what happened:

Coming back from the mall on a US highway I came to a stop lighted intersection and a car waiting to turn left decided to turn left just as I gunned my truck to get through the intersection before it turned red. The light was yellow! I Milli-second of defensive driving took hold of my brain and made me jerk the truck to the left instead of the right. I didn't know what was on the right (i was on a four lane highway in the left lane) next to me so that's why I went left. In that Milli-second of thought i must have noticed that no traffic was coming up the hill going the other way, other wise i would have head on collision with them instead of the vehicle I was trying to avoid in the first place. So we slid side-ways until we were about one foot from inpact...side-to-side. Actually to me it felt like I just turned left and drove it there on purpose, but my kid and I do remember screeching of tires. If the car would have not stopped in the intersection I could have just hit the brakes and stayed straight but the people stopped right in the intersection. I've seen that before, they panic!! So all my driving skills came into play tonight, and thankfully the roads where dry, otherwise I might be typing this from the hospital, but I'm here home and I wasn't scared at all, but the seriousness of the incident was very serious! I'm not joking! :(..But we're all right! My pick-up truck is alright too!

So before all that happened I finally bought a new watch! Yep, my last watch lasted twenty-three years. I think I wrote what happened to that one in another post, but in short I smashed it on a cooler at a grocery store and broke the crystal face. Now I won at bingo all those years ago and bought a great watch for $80.00 and it lasted that long, so it took some long hard decisions on what to get for the next 20 some years this time and I won about $180.00 at the casino this go-around so I bought the same brand.

P.S to the blog........blog I wrote to you awhile back about getting a Jawbone II hands free device "Remember" Well I just returned it to www.jawbone.com to get a replacement on since that one really sucked. What sucked about it? It's suppose to be the best on the market and everyone could here all the background noise and wind noise, just plain everything but a clear voice transmission, i guess, since that what my friends said. I can't have that go on in a conversation, it drives be batty. Yeah, I hope they do send me a new one that works better. I'll let you know OKAY bloggie!
